Stereo Hexascope

Stereo Hexascope explored a compact arrangement of thirteen camera sensors for stereoscopic 360-degree video. The engineering focused on lens coverage, the spacing between viewpoints and the geometry needed to capture stereo imagery around the camera.

The 2015–16 archive follows that work from bare sensor modules and measured layouts to assembled camera rings. Photographs show internal electronics, camera mounts, design models and working prototypes. Tightening the arrangement was intended to improve stereo consistency and reduce stitching problems with nearby subjects. The project forms part of the early technical development behind later custom panoramic and multicamera systems.
